During my time at Saint Mary’s Press, I was involved with the creation and development of three print products: The
Catholic Youth Bible, 4th Edition; Revelation and the Old Testament and The Paschal Mystery and the Gospels including their respective teacher guides. My contributions: writer, editor, and curator of images, Power Point presentation development, videos, audio tracks, and quotes; seeking permissions; recruiting and supervising authors.

Student Text and Teacher Guide
Revelation and the Old Testament: a look inside the student text. Each Unit opens with an essential question. Units consisted of 3-4 articles. Each article contained at least one image with a caption related to the content. I wrote all of the photo captions. Each chapter ended with Overview Questions.
The side bar “I Didn’t Know That!” was one of several features in every article. Every chapter included a thought provoking question. An art study based on the content was used to provide another means to sum up a chapter. I wrote most of the art study questions. Units ended with graphic organizers which summed up the key points of each chapter in the unit
Teacher Guide Teacher guides provided an overview of its organization to help the teacher understand how to use it. Each unit was developed using the Understanding by Design method (sometimes called Backward by Design) Units consisted of Learning Experiences, 2-3 per chapter, from which teachers could choose. images of the handouts and student book pages, for example, in the margin help the teacher know what resources the students will need. Tests and their respective answer keys are included in the teacher guide. Rubrics for projects assist the teacher in grading assignments.
